Y ACHIEVERS is a national program that helps youth in seventh through twelfth grade discover and pursue higher educational and career goals by equipping them with the skills needed to succeed and be community role models. Young people will participate in workforce readiness, college readiness and life skills sessions to support their pathway to success through bi-weekly programming by grade level. Our program is held at Northeastern University campus, through bi-weekly sessions focusing on life skills and career explorations. Young people actively engaged in programming receive a FREE teen membership to the 13 Greater Boston YMCA’s. Register today to reserve your space for the 2021-2022 school year! Welcome Youth Achievers!
If you are interested in being a guest speaker to our group please visit the Y Achievers Guest Speakers page.
- Expose youth to career and college knowledge through the lens of professionals who look like them. We believe that children cannot aspire to be what they cannot see.
- Help youth develop individual talents, a positive sense of self, and leadership ability.
- Motivate participants to raise academic performance, succeed in school, and gain marketable skills.
