David’s speech from Spark 2025 inspires us to continue our work in creating a more connected greater Boston building bridges, finding community, hope and joy. We choose this work with pride and purpose to meet this moment.

David Shapiro, President and CEO

He joined the YMCA on October 17, 2022. Prior to this role, Shapiro was CEO of MENTOR and before that, its Massachusetts Affiliate, Mass Mentoring Partnership, helping to lead the mentoring movement for over 20 years and driving relationship-centered solutions through cross-sector collaboration.
