The YMCA of Greater Boston Sports programs promote health through active play, hone sports skills like agility and speed, and place value in participation over competition. Our programs also encourage individual development, a positive self-image, and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.

Any Pod that would like to book a program are welcome to call their local YMCA of Greater Boston branch to arrange. Pods are groups of children who have been quarantining or schooling together through COVID-19.
Jr. Celtics Youth Development League
The YMCA of Greater Boston has partnered with the Boston Celtics and their Jr. Celtics Youth Development Leagues! This special basketball program teaches the value of Celtics basketball and healthy player development along with skills and drills. Kids can become a Jr. Celtic “Player of the Week,” participate in our pre-season Draft, and sign their contract as a “Jr. Celtic.” The whole season ends with a group chat/webinar with a Celtics VIP!
