This recreational program is designed to cater to people with disabilities through structured exercise
plans.
Our adaptive fitness program is dedicated to empowering individuals of all abilities to achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and inclusive environment. There is a variety of equipment available to our program members including NuSteps, Ski Ergometers, FES bike, and a Keiser functional trainer system.
This program is designed to support those who have a mobility disability such as spinal cord injury, stroke, or who may use an assistive device or wheelchair for mobility.
Program Availability:
Monday – Friday | 9AM-4PM
1 on 1 training support available
Program Cost: Included in YMCA membership

About Our Program Director Nicole Clarke:
Nicole Clarke is the Adaptive Fitness Program Coordinator for the YMCA of Greater Boston. With a passion to provide exercise for all, Nicole caters to the specific needs and goals by creating individualized exercise plans for each of her clients.
Nicole holds a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Vermont as well as a certification in Inclusive Fitness Training. She specializes her work for those with physical disabilities, with the majority of her experience being with those who have a spinal cord injury and other neuromuscular disorders. With three years of experience in spinal cord injury exercise and research, Nicole is committed to expanding the world of adaptive exercise by providing training to those in need of assistance.
