

Youth Sports
The YMCA of Greater Boston Sports programs promote health through active play, hone sports skills like agility and speed, and place value in participation over competition. Our programs also encourage individual development, a positive self-image, and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.
Late Spring: April 28 – June 22, 2025 (8 weeks)
Summer A: July 7 – August 31, 2025 (8 weeks)
Summer B: July 7 – August 3, 2025 (4 weeks)
Summer C: August 4 – August 31, 20255 (4 weeks)
Y Madness Basketball Tournament
Y Madness is a first of its kind. A healthy, positive, and fun youth basketball tournament will take place at our YMCAs. Participants will experience structured gameplay and a competitive format teaching teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
- Every participant receives a reversible jersey
- League will utilize YMCA League Curriculum
- Focus on the overall child and their development
- Equal playing time
- Players evaluated to create balanced teams
- Three weeks of skill development
- Four weeks of League Play

The Y has partnered with NFL Flag to bring you this brand new flag football league! Get ready to run, throw, jump and fly. In this game, there’s a position for everyone and there’s a team for you. At NFL FLAG, we know the foundation of youth sports is more than just learning the fundamentals. It’s about being part of a team and, most importantly, having fun. That’s why each NFL FLAG league is designed to give children of all abilities a chance to learn, play— and have a blast doing it. Flag football is the perfect introduction to football fundamentals and a great opportunity for tackle athletes to refine their technique in the offseason. NFL FLAG leagues are no contact so boys and girls of all ages and skill levels can learn to play—and have tons of fun. NFL FLAG is the largest flag football league in the U.S., and the only league where players can wear official NFL gear. Let’s play!



Dance
Our Kids’ Dance Class at the YMCA is the perfect blend of fun, fitness, and creativity! Designed for children of all skill levels, this class encourages self-expression through movement while building confidence, coordination, and a love for music. From upbeat routines to imaginative choreography, kids will stay active, make friends, and learn new skills in a supportive and energetic environment.
