Cycle Out Cancer: Ride in Memory of Mary Ellen

BURBANK YMCA (READING)

Please join us as at the Burbank YMCA as we pedal in memory of Mary Ellen Napolitana and support LIVESTRONG at the YMCA – a program that provides a free 12-week membership, support and fitness program to cancer survivors.

Mary Ellen passed away from cancer in June 2020. She raised her son, Corey, in Reading and spent over 10 years at the Burbank YMCA lighting up our spin room with her amazing classes. Known for her love of all types of music, on-bike trivia games and her annual Blues Brothers ride, she inspired everyone with her positive attitude and encouraging mantra “Who’s better than you? Nobody!” Join us for an outdoor spin fundraiser in her memory.

The Chip in for Good Golf Tournament benefiting the Thomas M. Menino YMCA, originally scheduled for Monday, September 11, 2025 has been canceled.

We will be distributing gift cards and grocery bags at the Huntington Ave YMCA and Wang YMCA of Chinatown.
Food deliveries will be coordinated to different areas around Greater Boston with collaboration from the Red Cross.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The proceeds of our breakfast support the programs and services we provide for our children, youth, families, and seniors. With your help, we hope to expand our offerings to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the resources, education, and support they need to grow and succeed.

Read Across America Day

Join us as we celebrate Read Across America Day on March 3, a nationwide event that promotes the joy of reading and inspires a love of books in children of all ages. Our Early Education Centers will take part in special reading activities from 9:30–11:00am, and our Afterschool sites will celebrate from 4:00–5:00pm. We’re excited to spend the day sharing stories, building literacy skills, and encouraging lifelong readers!

An annual corporate team-building initiative designed to support a corporate ethos of giving back. Through fierce competition for a great cause, the YGB Games fosters camaraderie among colleagues. Charles River YMCA Annual 4th of July 5K

This 5K Race is a Needham staple for the 4th of July holiday. This year the Race will take place on Saturday, July 4th and begin at 8:15am. All proceeds will benefit the Charles River YMCA and help make it possible for all members of our local community to benefit from our programs and memberships.
