    Join us in celebrating 125 years of Sandy Island camping on November 9th, 2024, aboard the Spirit of Boston! The entire 2024 camping season will be dedicated to this truly remarkable milestone. The year will culminate with a truly spectacular evening to remember. Sandy friends new and old will gather for a Boston Harbor Cruise to include dinner, dancing, silent auction and more. All in support of the Beautiful Isle as we look forward to the next 125 years.

    Cycle Out Cancer: Ride in Memory of Mary Ellen

    BURBANK YMCA (READING)

    Please join us as at the Burbank YMCA as we pedal in memory of Mary Ellen Napolitana and support LIVESTRONG at the YMCA – a program that provides a free 12-week membership, support and fitness program to cancer survivors.
     
    Mary Ellen passed away from cancer in June 2020. She raised her son, Corey, in Reading and spent over 10 years at the Burbank YMCA lighting up our spin room with her amazing classes. Known for her love of all types of music, on-bike trivia games and her annual Blues Brothers ride, she inspired everyone with her positive attitude and encouraging mantra “Who’s better than you? Nobody!” Join us for an outdoor spin fundraiser in her memory.

    We will be distributing turkeys at the Dorchester YMCA.
    We will be distributing gift cards and grocery bags at the Huntington Ave YMCA and Wang YMCA of Chinatown.
    Food deliveries will be coordinated to different areas around Greater Boston with collaboration from the Red Cross.

    We will be hosting our 18th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast on Friday, January 16, 2025, at 7:30 AM at the Roxbury YMCA as we celebrate bringing businesses and communities together to honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The proceeds of our breakfast support the programs and services we provide for our children, youth, families, and seniors. With your help, we hope to expand our offerings to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the resources, education, and support they need to grow and succeed.
