YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program
If you are at risk for Type 2 Diabetes, the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can help. This program offers small group classes that meet for 25 sessions over the course of a year. Classes are led by a trained lifestyle coach, and you’ll work together with your group to learn strategies to help prevent the disease.
If you would like a quick general assessment of your risk-level for type 2 diabetes, take the Risk Test provided by the American Diabetes Association®.

- Learn strategies to eat healthier
- Increase physical activity to 150 minutes per day
- Lose 5-7% of your body weight
