Family-Centered Infant, Toddler Preschool and After School Care
With so many demands on today's families, parents need all the support they can get. That's why YMCA Infant, Toddler Preschool and After School Programs are about more than looking after kids. It's about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn skills and develop relationships that lead to positive behavior, better health and educational achievement. At the Y, we also focus on role-modeling and teaching kids the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility. We welcome families at all of our Y program sites and encourage you to visit. Holidays, parties, family nights, special programs, field trips are all occasions for families to get involved at the Y.
All YMCA early education and out-of-school time program staff are trained and experienced working with children. Staff are trained and certified in First Aid and CPR, as well as emergency procedures. In addition, their qualifications meet or exceed state standards set and enforced by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Staff members are chosen for their experience, education, energy, enthusiasm, and sensitivity to the needs of children.
Child Protection Policy
The safety and protection of the children we serve are paramount to us. We know parents, guardians and the community-at-large place their trust in the Y to do everything that we can to ensure that the children in our care are safe. The YMCA of Greater Boston reviews all prospective members and guests against the Massachusetts Registry of Sex Offenders and prohibits membership or access to our Y’s for individuals who are classified as offenders.
