The YMCA of Greater Boston is more than a place that promotes healthy lifestyles.  Through our Infant, Toddler & Preschool Programs and After School Programs, we help to nurture children’s development by providing a safe place to learn skills and develop relationships that lead to positive behavior, better health and higher academic achievement.  At the YMCA, we focus on teaching the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility with the end goal of inspiring kids to Dream Big!

In preparation for YMCA of Greater Boston’s 2013 Dream Big Party, our annual fundraising event, we asked kids in our Preschool and After School Programs to Dream Big and draw pictures of “what they want to be when they grow up.”  This was a great opportunity for kids to have fun, be creative and think about their futures.  We had so many great drawings and dreams, we wanted to share them!  Below are our kids from West Roxbury and North Suburban YMCA’s drawings.

Dream Big: Make Dreams Reality

The YMCA of Greater Boston believes that all children deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.  The YMCA provides nearly $2.1 million in direct scholarships for children and teen programs around the Greater Boston area.

This year, we will hold our annual Dream Big Party at the Mandarin Oriental Boston on October 23, 2013, to celebrate the BIG hopes and dreams of the youth in our programs.  All funds will contribute to increasing availability and the quality of our offerings, helping 35,000+ youth's dreams come true.  This year, our goal is to raise over $500,000 to support our high quality programs for youth and teens.  Please join our fourteen, already committed, corporate sponsors in helping youth DREAM BIG and reach their goals.
