Your support is necessary to fund many of the Y programs and services that families that are in need use every day. Together we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn grow and thrive in a YMCA program.
The Wang YMCA of Chinatown has served Boston residents for more than 90 years. The YMCA is a community hub, a place where people can count on finding caring safe environment, positive role models and opportunities to serve the needs of others.

The YMCA Annual Fund
Since the opening of our expanded facility in 2000, the Wang Y has provided high quality infant, toddler and preschool programs, before and after school programs, and served more than 200 youth in summer camp programs helping continue learning during the out-of-school time. We believe that all of these kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The YMCA Annual Fund provides these programs and enables our young people to develop the confidence and skills to become our future leaders.
With 100% of the dollar that is raised going directly to scholarship and program support here at Wang YMCA, your contribution to the campaign is an investment in our shared future.

A gift to the Annual Fund will make a difference to the kids in your community. You can help change the direction of a child’s life by helping them to learn to swim, go to camp for the first time, or master their ABCs through our early education curriculum. Your support today will give kids the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive so that they can become the healthy, happy adults of tomorrow.- Thanks to strong relationships with many of Boston’s finest community health centers, hospitals, educational institutions, and state and local agencies the Y is a partner in the fight against chronic illness. It is through this extensive network of providers and Reach Out donors like you that we offer practical, realistic and affordable solutions so that everyone has the opportunity to live a healthier life in a supportive community.

Our staff, volunteers, community partners and Reach Out donors like you empower more than 100,000 people in Greater Boston to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
While programs may develop in one neighborhood, the strength of the Y is that we leverage great programs and take those to other communities that then benefit. Again, at the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away due to an inability to pay full fees. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy confident, connected and secure. We can only make that promise through the support of our donors to the Y’s Annual Fund.
