The activities at YMCA Overnight camps are one of a kind and through them we teach children self-esteem, confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork. Sleepaway camp is a great way to discover new talents and interests, realize potential, boost creativity and learn about camp-mates.
We offer four activity periods and a daily swim session, plus an evening activity. Certain programs are available for an additional cost, such as horseback riding and water skiing.
Each camper designs their own daily schedule on the first day of camp and has a variety of activities to choose from.
Archery, Arts & Crafts, Basketball, Baseball, Camp Crafts, Canoeing, Ceramics, Dance, Drama, Frisbee, Hiking, Horseback Riding*, Kayaking, Leatherwork, Photography (with a full darkroom), Ropes (High and Low Courses), Riflery, Sailing with Sunfish, Mercury’s, and Catamarans, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Waterskiing*, Windsurfing, Woodshop

Our staff also plan creative programs for their cabins, sections and the entire camp. Each cabin also takes a field trip together once every session to either a backcountry campsite on property, Pine Island or Sandy Island, for a day of fun away from camp. Co-ed activities and theme days are offered twice weekly.
