The YMCA of Greater Boston announces its intention of sponsoring the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. Planned dates of operation are October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013- with the option to renew for up to three years - 5 days per week. Bids are solicited from vendors. Anticipated service is 2 meals and one snack per day at 5 sites, one snack per day at 5 after school sites, and supper at 2 sites. In addition, after school programs require lunch for school vacation weeks. (After school sites do not operate under CACFP during summer months, but start up again in September) Bids must be received by 3:00 p.m., August 23, 2012. All bids are subject to review by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Nutrition, Health and Safety, 75 Pleasant Street, Malden, MA 02148.
The public bid opening will be at 2:00 p.m., August 24, 2012 at 316 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
