On September 18, the YMCA participated in Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' (BCBSMA) third annual company-wide Service Day, One Community. One Blue. Fifty BCBSMA associates descended on the Roxbury YMCA building planters to be used for educational gardens. The volunteers also helped to create a warm and inviting entrance in our walkway through landscaping, painted our after school spaces, picked up litter around the Y and disinfected hundreds of toys from our preschool classrooms. A big thank you to the Blue Crew!
The Blue Crew:
They painted our facilities.
They disinfected hundreds of toys.
They helped move this giant pile of rocks.
Now, we have a new bike rack station as a result!
They replanted our hostas.
Look at how beautiful the walkway to the Roxbury YMCA looks!
Again, a big thank you to the Blue Crew! Your hard work is much appreciated and we couldn't do this without you.
