Open Up a World of Opportunity, Possibility and Hope for all children
Too often, children of greater Boston enter school and life on an uneven playing field. Many are not ready for kindergarten with the skills necessary to learn. Having access to summer learning or quality after school programs can be challenging. Regular healthy meals and snacks during the day can be less reliable, and finding affordable child care for families can be daunting.
But, when you give to the YMCA of Greater Boston, you help turn all of those obstacles into opportunities for children in our community all year long. You create a sense of possibility and purpose, and you inspire hope for a happy holiday season.
During this Season of Giving, we are launching a special two-week #GivingChallengeTuesday competition between our YMCA branches to raise the most money we can in support of the Y’s Early Education, Before & After School, and Camp programs.. The challenge starts Tuesday November 13 and runs through November 27 (Giving Tuesday).
The YMCA branch that encourages the largest number of donor to participate and donate gifts greater than $25 will win a $5,000 anonymous donation to support programs for children. That means giving our young people a love of learning all year long through creative, interactive programs, homework help from trained staff, nourishing snacks and meals, and a welcoming place to make friends for a lifetime.
Give generously throughout the holiday season. As a meaningful member of the YMCA family, you are giving the gift of greater opportunity, possibility, and hope for children who will thank you by discovering the best of themselves.
The YMCA of Greater Boston is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization under IRS code. Your gift is deeply appreciated and fully deductible as allowed by law.
