- Work for the Y
The Burbank YMCA is dedicated to improving the health of mind, body, and spirit of individuals and families in our communities. We welcome men and women, boys and girls of all incomes, faiths and cultures.
The Burbank Y is proud to be part of the YMCA of Greater Boston, the largest provider of social services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
A staple in the community since 1950’s, the Burbank YMCA serves the communities of Reading, North Reading, Wakefield, Wilmington and Stoneham. In 1998, the building known as the Burbank YMCA was constructed thanks to the generosity of Nelson and Rita Burbank.
Since then, we have added an additional 15,000 square feet to meet the changing needs of our almost 9,000 members. In additional to an 8 lane, 25 yard pool, the YMCA boasts a therapy pool, a strength and fitness center, three unique group exercise spaces, licensed childcare for 250 kids from all over our service areas, a 20 acre waterfront camp in Boxford, a ropes course, a climbing wall, a gymnasium and so much more. Every square inch of our 45,000 square foot building is an important part of our YMCA programs insuring youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
