Support the Annual Reach Out Campaign - Strengthen Your Community
Your support is necessary to fund many of the Y programs and services that families that are in need use every day. Together we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn grow and thrive in a YMCA program.

“I want to send my greatest appreciation to the YMCA Achievers program for creating the leaders of tomorrow. The program not only nurtured me while I was a member, it also left a lasting effect on my life. During my time there, I developed certain skills sets that have allowed me to excel in an environment where so many have faltered.
The Y Achievers program made college less of a dream and more of a reality for me and many others. The program enhanced both my SAT taking and essay writing capabilities; two components critical to being accepted into college. As a result of the YMCA’s dedication to excellence, I am now entering my senior year at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as well as currently serving as the President of the Black Student Union.
In addition, I give back to my community annually by participating in the following organizations: The Mission Hill Walk, Walk for Haiti, Walk for Diabetes, Breast Cancer Walk and Big Sisters of Greater Boston.” - Courtney
Annual Fund - Reach Out
Each year, the YMCA Achievers conducts a Reach Out campaign to help raise money for financial scholarships to be given to area teens for its Summer Institute and College Path programs. These programs help inner city youth become better prepared for college by teaching them important life skills, social skills and exposing them to real world scenarios in all areas of business.
The YMCA Achievers raises funds for its Reach Out campaign through many generous corporate and private donors who come out each year to its annual gala. The YMCA Achievers also relies on the generous financial support of its advisory board.
While programs may develop in one neighborhood, the strength of the Y is that we leverage great programs and take those to other communities that then benefit. Again, at the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away due to an inability to pay. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy confident, connected and secure. We can only make that promise through the support of our donors to the Y’s Annual Support Campaign.
