Thank you for you interest in joining our staff team here at YMCA of Greater Boston Overnight Camps, home of Sandy Island, Pleasant Valley, North Woods and Laughing Loon Day Camp.  Please fill out the application below to the best of your ability and be as thorough as possible.  We ask that the applicants themselves fill out the following application.

Spots on our staff are competitive each year and applicants are measured based on their application, evaluations from being a camper/LIT/CIT, references of community leaders and family, and interviews with the applicant themselves.  Every year, we are forced to turn away many good applicants because of the volume of applications we receive and the limited spots available.  Those who are fortunate enough to be chosen to join us should conduct themselves professionally to be respectful of those not accepted to positions here at camp.  It's one of our core values here at camp and this is a great opportunity to practice!

Application Due Dates:

Junior Counselors NEED TO COMPLETE THE NEW HIRE APPLICATION, not this one that you are currently looking at: December 15th (Decisions by January 15th)
Sandy Island, LLDC, Head Counselors and Senior Staff:  January 15th (Decisions by Feb. 1st)

*Applicants are hired for a minimum of four continuous camper weeks *All staff must attend Staff Week or work out an alternative time to receive training. *Staff staying all summer is preferable.
