Y Stories

For this young man, some of his earliest memories are taking swim lessons at the Y. From the parent child class at age two, he fell in love with swimming and swam competitively for twelve years.

When he turned eighteen and couldn’t stay on the team, he became an Assistant Coach, working with the amazing people on the Y staff. “I believe that I learned how to be a good person from my experiences here. I can definitely say that I wouldn’t be the man I am now if it weren’t for the YMCA.”
